Looking for free women’s Bible studies for quarantine, and direction for your spiritual walk during this time? Read on!
Quiet times in quarantine have been tricky for me. Anyone else?
Because even though I’m spending most of my time at home, that time feels very full.
For me, it’s full of taking care of family members and household; it might also include adapting to a new schedule and work life, volunteering, applying for jobs, or even just full of your Netflix queue.
And then when I sit down to read, I’m not quite sure what to study in my spiritual walk. It’s a time of uncertainty and even anxiety – and instead of working through those things, it seems easier to avoid those feelings altogether.
Here’s one thing I know: God is present in this time of quarantine and social-distancing. And we need him.
We need something (someone!) strong and dependable to lean on, because there are very few answers or solutions right now.
Faith (being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see, as in Hebrews 11:1) doesn’t come passively. We need to intentionally strengthen our faith in this season – or risk our hope getting drowned out by fears and anxiety.
Need some help figuring out what to study in this time? Looking for hope and inspiration for this quarantine season?
Here are some fantastic and FREE women’s Bible studies for quarantine.
These will give you a great place to start in your times with God, whether you’re starting your spiritual journey, or continuing to grow in your faith.
Hope on the Home Front
This is a free Bible study ebook for women from me! It’s some of my favorite assurances from the Bible for hope and peace in this time (and it was helpful for me to be reminded of those as I worked through it.
Follow this women’s devotional at your own pace. There’s a LOT of scripture in here, so figure out what works best for you – one verse or group of verses or page at a time. It includes some journaling prompts as well.

Covid-19 Prayer and Bible Study Guide
This Covid-19 Prayer and Bible Study Guide, specifically made for quarantine season, is a handpicked list of scriptures, heartfelt prayer prompts, and a check-list of ideas for how you can help in this time. It’s from the Daily Grace Co (a stellar resource for paid studies, too).
This is a great place to start for Bible study and prayer (plus practical application) at this time.
Fear Not: Faith in the Midst of Uncertainty
Are you more of an auditory learner? Are you a podcast fan? This will speak right to you: an audio Bible study from The Graceful Life with Ashley Varner called Fear Not: Faith in the Midst of Uncertainty. This course is broken down into four weeks, with short daily studies that anyone can fit into their schedule.
I appreciate that Ashley calls attention to the fact that when we read stories of Biblical heroes, we are reading them after the fact, after the victory. These heroes lived them out – meaning they spent time in the uncertain and unknown just like we are currently.
Fix My Eyes: A Bible Journal for Busy Moms
The paper-and-pen journal lovers will appreciate this free printable women’s Bible journal from Rapt Motherhood. It’s a whole system – Bible reading plan, plus pages for tracking prayers, memory verses, quotes, questions, and more.
It’s specifically geared towards moms, but I think women in any life circumstances would benefit from these pages. We all need help fixing on our eyes on Jesus at this time. Also check out 5 Days in the Psalms – a free five-day devotional about delighting in God’s word.
Micro Bible Journaling Challenge
Is your heart drawn towards making things pretty? Curious about how to start Bible journaling? Check out this 5-day micro Bible journaling challenge from Lillian at Hey Creative Sister.
It’s a great way to worship and draw closer to God while expressing your creativity, even if you wouldn’t call yourself an artist and aren’t sure where to start. Each creation is your own unique way to connect with God while you study your Bible.
PRAISE Bible Study Method
Already have a reading plan, or an idea of what you’d like to read, but unsure how to get the most out of your Bible study? Starla of Coffee with Starla has a great outline of how to go about your Bible study in the PRAISE Bible Study Method.
Her method is unique from others I’ve found in that it starts with prayer – an important part of making yourself open to receiving and understanding the Word of God. Starla also offers studies on how to overcome negative thinking, and verses on trusting God.
Psalms of Praise Study
In times of uncertainty and stress, we can sometimes find it difficult to praise and worship God. This Psalms of Praise series from Raising Everyday Disciples involves reading through and absorbing a new psalm every day, to make your heart sing with joy.
I like this format because it is easy to follow, and incorporates different ways of processing the Bible verses – from the words set to music (something I always find easier to connect with) to personal questions and a prayer to round it all out.
Rest Bible Study: Finding Peace in Uncertainty
This time does not feel restful to me. And yet God promises peace and rest, an easy and light burden in Jesus. To study this concept more, take a spiritual retreat with the Rest Bible Study from Ifeoma at Purposeful and Meaningful.
Her focus is that, although we can’t control much right now, how we respond is something we can change. This study equips the reader to choose hope and turn to the Word in this time.
Writing Biblical Fiction Together
Another creative way to process your Bible study is found in this Writing Biblical Fiction course by author Katrina D. Hamel. Learn how to immerse yourself in the Bible and uncover new spiritual depths in stories you may have read many times.
If you like the idea of seeing the stories from a different point of view, but aren’t excited about the writing portion, Katrina includes a few samples on the above page that will give you a fresh perspective on Biblical stories.
The Worship Handbook
If you have a heart for Biblical history, research and definitions, this Worship Handbook by the Tuckers at Sophiculture is a solid resource! It’s an in-depth study about seeing God’s goodness and promises, finding your purpose, and choosing worship over sin and self-interest.
I appreciate both the depth of study and the opportunity for personal refection and practical application from this thorough book! It really covers many areas in your spiritual walk.
