favorite cyber monday deals for moms, and a disclaimer

December 2, 2019 · In: home, lifestyle, motherhood, productivity, shopping

If you’ve finished your stuffing, enjoyed time with family, and recounted the amazing blessings you’re thankful for – and now you’re ready to hit the sales – I’m right there with you. Today I’m sharing my favorite Cyber Monday deals for moms, which you can shop right now.

This post contains affiliate links, which mean that if you click and purchase, I will receive a small advertising commission that comes at no extra cost to you. Each one makes me do a little happy dance, because this is how I contribute to my family and keep this little business up and running. Thank you for your support!

But it does come with a disclaimer, not unlike the one I’ve shared about a certain annual sale at Nordstrom.

First of all, I get the hype – it’s everywhere. Advertisements have the whole “THIS IS THE LOWEST AND BEST PRICE YOU WILL EVER EVER SEE, MIC DROP” spiel going. Your email is probably like mine, bursting with every discount and free gift with purchase you can imagine.

But my disclaimer is this: don’t give in to the hype that you need to “have it all”. Our perspective can slip and we can be taken advantage of when we start to believe that “you’d be foolish NOT to buy this now” or “you are completely missing out if you don’t…” Instead of cultivating gratitude, we can end up collecting things – some that end up unused and tossed out.

All that to say: Purchase with intention.

Shop mindfully. Stay attentive. Score amazing deals – on things you really do need, or really will gift to others. (You could also consider minimal-clutter gifts.)

That said, yes, I’m still sharing my favorite sales, because there are good ones out there, and there are things I’m hunting down.

These are the Cyber Monday deals for moms that I think you can actually use.

These are useful companies and products I can personally recommend from experience, as you’ll see below – most of these come with review links from products I’ve used for years. Apply as needed – or don’t, as not. Remember to shop mindfully!

Briogeo

My newest haircare obsession. So impressed with the Be Gentle, Be Kind Matcha, Kale + Apple line, and have tried the Deep Conditioning mask in the past. I’m impressed with how it is making my scalp healthier and hair shinier. I snagged the conditioner. Get 20% off all Briogeo products today. Use code HOLIDAY.

Cultivate What Matters

Apparently I can’t recommend this company enough – you can check out my PowerSheets 2020 review if you don’t believe me. Although PowerSheets are not included in the Cyber Monday deal, you can still score books, stickers, journals, and all kinds of planning goodies for 20% off today, plus get free gifts. No code needed.

Grove Collaborative

I’ve been using this service for about two months now, and although I thought it was just a lot of hype at first, I actually have been pleasantly surprised about this service. It’s a website to shop for clean home and personal care products, which can include membership and subscriptions if you choose that. I have received so many free products from them, they have excellent customer service, and I love that they use clean-ingredient products. Check out Grove Collaborative’s Roven beauty brand Cyber Monday sale with 20% off original prices. No code needed.

Lily Jade

Another company I rave over is Lily Jade. They make diaper bags – if you can call them that. They are the most luxe, gorgeous bags that really outlast the diaper days and make excellent work bags, or just plain purses. (My Lily Jade Shaylee review still applies.)

ALL Lily Jade diaper bags are on sale for 25% off currently – but especially check out the Elizabeth, an all-leather bag discounted to $149, and the vegan leather Caroline bag for $149. Some purchases come with free gifts, plus get entered to win a free bag from the spring line. No code needed.

Madewell

It’s a bigger brand, but I have to share, because Madewell is having an unusual and awesome sale today. While this weekend was 30% off nearly everything, today you can take an added 10% off with code ‘ YAYINTERNET ‘. While I often shop Madewell secondhand for cost and sustainability, it is definitely one of the most-loved brands in my closet. Perfect deals for moms looking to update their wardrobe.

Primally Pure

Love this small business with powerful products. Their amazing, clean-ingredient dry shampoo actually works. I also recommend their charcoal deodorant, which is non-irritating and keeps you smelling fresh. Today, spa value kits from Primally Pure (typically $52 each) are buy one get one free. No discount code needed. (But you can use my discount code for 10% off in the future: JENN10 !)

Sonnet James

My absolute favorite clothing company. Both because the founder, Whitney, is an amazing human being, and also because these dresses are made for moms: easily cleanable, comfortable, and chic. They are pricey, but the dresses I have from Sonnet James have lasted and look great. (I recommend the June, the Playsuit, the Sweater Dress, and the Reese.) Sales don’t come often (it’s a small biz), so snag these while you can. Get 20% off of regular styles with code ‘ BLACKFRIDAY19 ‘ or 40% off of sales styles with code ‘ EXTRA40 ‘.

The Honest Company

We are big fans of Honest Company personal care products, especially the shampoo + body wash that our whole family uses. I never got the opportunity to try the diapers, but I have heard good things about them, especially for babies with sensitive skin. And I’m looking to replace some of my used-up beauty products with Honest Beauty – they have clean ingredients and are surprisingly affordable.

  • Get 50% off your first month of a new diapers and wipes bundle subscription with code BRIGHT50.
  • Save 25% on baby and beauty items with code MERRY25. Hello deals for moms – and littles!
Thirdlove

Bras are not easy to shop for, but Thirdlove actually does make it a smooth experience. I’ve posted my official unsponsored Thirdlove review, but to summarize – their fit quiz actually works, and they come in a wide range of sizes and styles that are quality and comfortable. You can even try their bras for free (just make sure you set a deadline if you want to return them). They’re on super sale right now, so check them out – sizes run out fast! Also you can get 20% off $150 with code ‘ GET20 ‘.

Wheatley Jewelry Co.

I’ve been following Wheatley Jewelry Co. on Instagram for a while, and love Alexa’s minimal style and products. I have her Evelyn tassel earrings in white and Leah agate statement necklace, and love both! She’s offering 25% off with code ‘ CYBER ‘ today only.

Now you.

What are your favorite Cyber Monday 2019 deals for moms? Spill! 🙂

In other words, don’t write off the person who’s in a season of deconstruction. Actually, I think I’m going to call it renovation now 😉

I just wrote a post about demolition and rebuilding, like the time I literally walked into a demolition zone and was not fully prepared. It’s where a lot of my better writing is going these days, Substack.

Want to read? Type “renovate” below and I’ll send it to you.

Call me crazy, but what if the “good news” is Call me crazy, but what if the “good news” is actually supposed to be…good news?

What if Jesus meant it when he said that he came so we “may have life and have it to the full”? Or when he said, “you will find rest for your souls”?

What if these promises were meant for everyone, not just a select few?

What if your old way of faith — striving, people-pleasing, fear, shame — wasn’t what God had in mind for you?

So many of us are stuck in a messy middle — unable to go back to religion like we used to participate in it, but still seeking, still hopeful, still growing. I’m sharing my journey here, and I hope you’ll grab a mug of something warm and cozy, take a seat, and join the conversation with me.

When you are trying to follow Jesus but also feel like one of the few in between two extremes.

Can I tell you a secret? You’re not alone.

If you’re facing some disillusionment with church or Christianity culture, and still love God and want to live and love like Jesus, this is a safe space to be.

What’s something you actually in fact do love? It doesn’t have to do with faith—mine in the comments.
