the best mom hashtags on instagram 2020

January 31, 2020 · In: motherhood, productivity

Moccasins provided complimentary by Freshly Picked

As a mom and blogger, I love the connections I make through Instagram. And often the way I do that is through motherhood hashtags.

Which, if we’re not connected there @whatyoumakeitblog, we should be. The really laugh-out-loud stuff is on Instagram stories.

It is a great place to share the good, the bad, the beautiful, and sometimes even the ugly. I love being able to say, “you too??” as I scroll through my feed. There’s always another mom dealing with growth spurts, teething, and tantrums. It’s a way to bond and relate.

There are big name bloggers I follow there, sure. But it’s been more fun meeting and interacting with mamas like me. You know – the ones that share the pretty pictures, but also the real ones. For example, the laundry on the floor. The toddler with food all over his face.

How does one find like-minded mamas? Hashtags are the best way.

Mom blogger hashtags connect you with like-minded mamas who are looking to connect, too. Use hashtags both in your posts, as well as for searches.

There’s two categories below: 200,000 or less, and then 200,000+. So what I recommend is combining some of each to make your own hashtag list for your own mom blogger Instagram strategy.

In my experience, you don’t want ones that are used too much (say in the million+ range). And you should also include smaller ones to rise to the top of posts shown.

Too much to make your own? No worries – because I’ve done the work for you. There’s a FREE PDF with hashtag lists. These are available in my resource library for subscribers. Sign up for my email list to get the password sent to your inbox.

Not only that… Women in the scriptures take bol Not only that…

Women in the scriptures take bold, audacious action to do what is right and to further God’s purpose.

But this was the very first time I realized how Jesus included women in the narratives about the Kingdom specifically.

Women partner with God to bring about the Kingdom, on earth as it is in heaven. We’re part of the plan. Anyone who tells you your role is diminished in God’s eyes is not considering how Jesus spoke of and interacted with and commissioned women.

Maybe we’ve been going about this the wrong way.

What if the good news starts with God’s loving invitation? What if it’s not really about fear tactics?

Sitting with that this week.

I’m only kind of joking 🤣

Here, we talk about the reality of messy, expansive, healing faith:
- life after spiritual burnout, change in beliefs or loss of faith community
- learning to take up space and be yourself
- mental, physical, and spiritual well-being
- everyday devotion
- good theology with healthy curiosity
- living like Jesus, not using his name to cause harm

Also: books, 90s/00s rom-coms, coffee, running, Swiftie fun, and pretty things, because balance 😄 I hope you stick around.

Funny what gets stirred up while working on the po Funny what gets stirred up while working on the podcast…

I’d been avoiding Lamentations, even though as a five-chapter book of the Bible, it was a perfect fit to go through for a five-day-in-a-row Bible study podcast.

Lament isn’t comfortable. Grief isn’t cozy. I’ve often tried to dodge these because they didn’t fit in my understanding of faith.

God is shifting my mindset in that. Our capacity to feel reflects our compassionate God—even (especially?) the hard feelings.

And honestly? The only thing more exhausting than grief is trying to wrestle it in a box and hide it behind a happy face.

Let me know below if you want to hear the podcast series on Lamentations ❤️
