3 easy hairstyles for medium length hair

3 easy hair styles for medium length hair

It’s really not that hard for me to feel SO FRUSTRATED with my hair.

It’s fortunate that I have a fantastic stylist (and friend) who has given me a great cut, that’s now a little longer than shoulder-length. But it’s thin, lacks volume, can be frizzy, and some days it just wants to hold wave in all the wrong places. And nobody likes a bad hair day, amiright?

I do, however, have a few easy hairstyles for medium length hair up my sleeve, for when I don’t know what else to do.

Pinned Back Sides Style

Simply pull back the bangs closest to your face, and pin back with bobby pins. Fluff pulled back hair to give it a little volume.

Half Up Style

Pull bangs from the very front of your hair. Hold the hair above your head and tease by brushing downward toward the crown of the head. Smooth and pin the top part of your hair on the crown, crossing your bobby pins for a strong hold.

Faux Milkmaid Braid

Part hair from the front to the back (can be off-center on top, but should be centered in the back). Starting on one side, twist two sections of hair up over each other, adding bits of hair as you go, until you get all the way to the end. Repeat on the other side. Wrap the ends into a bun, and secure with bobby pins.

Speaking of bad hair days, Aflac has a new “Duck Salon” commercial with everyone’s favorite duck trying his hand – I mean, wing – at hairstyling. As you might imagine…it doesn’t work out.

What Aflac IS great at is taking care of their policyholders. It’s not a health insurance policy; it’s insurance for daily living. When a policyholder gets sick or hurt, Aflac pays cash benefits fast – now in as little as ONE business day with the new One Day Pay promise. Eligible claims get processed and approved in the same day, instead of denying and delaying, so that you can keep your life on track.

It’s not for major medical insurance, but rather takes care of everyday necessities – think groceries, child care, parking at the hospital, etc! Many companies talk about saving money on premiums, but Aflac is committed to paying attention to your claim, and taking care of their policyholders when they need it most.

If you want to be with an insurance company that cares for you as an individual, go with the USA’s leading provider of voluntary insurance at the workplace – Aflac! Follow them on Facebook and Twitter for more info.

This trend, but about what happens when you ditch This trend, but about what happens when you ditch performance and perfectionism for grace-filled growth.

This is not a to-do list, by the way. Not a resume or test or a title. (Not, “you are now proclaimed holy”.)

These are, I’ve found, holy experiences that get revealed as you take steps along this faith journey. This is what it looks like when you’re settling in to the transformation that happens when you lean in to the Spirit, follow Jesus, and get to know God better. A settling of the soul.

What kinda holy experiences have you encountered on your own unique journey with God?

Not to be dramatic, but… Everything changed when Not to be dramatic, but…
Everything changed when I started:

viewing stories of women in the scriptures with care and respect instead of making assumptions.

reading the Bible as God’s story, not morality tales about people.

recognizing that God cares about our wholeness and wellbeing, not perfect performance or self-improvement.

seeking depth and God’s withness over easy answers.

Does this feel like I’m reading your mail? (I’m not.) Stick around. Here we talk about rebuilding your faith and theology and Bible study without shame and shrinking ❤️

This little detail now stands out to me in a way I can’t ignore. God is in the business of drawing us near.

For Moses, the journey included miracles, facing down his own demons, and growing in trust and confidence.

What does the journey look like for you? In what ways has your trust and confidence in God grown?
