Mother’s Day – it’s coming.
No seriously, it’s coming up fast. You should start thinking about it.
On that note, why do those holidays always creep up on you? One day it’s, like, Easter, and the next, it’s Mother’s Day. What happens to all that time in between?
Anyways, Mother’s Day.

A time to remember and celebrate your mom for – oh, I don’t know, carrying you and birthing you and raising you.
I think it’s taken me becoming a mom for that to really sink in. It’s an amazing time that pushes and challenges you in ways you don’t expect, tests you, and actually leaves you stronger for next time. And thinking that my mom went through all those things with me only makes me respect her even more.
To celebrate, here are the best Mother’s Day quotes I’ve found.

“Being a mother is learning about strengths you didn’t know you had, and dealing with fears you didn’t know existed.” – Linda Wooten

“Motherhood: all love begins and ends there.” – Robert Browning
“To describe my mother would be to write about a hurricane in its perfect power. Or the climbing, falling colors of a rainbow.” – Maya Angelou
“A mother is the one who fills your heart in the first place.” – Amy Tan
“All that I am or hope to be, I owe to my angel mother.” – Abraham Lincoln
“The most precious jewels you’ll ever have around your neck are the arms of your children.” – Unknown
“Motherhood is a choice you make every day, to put someone else’s happiness above your own, to teach the hard lessons, to do the right thing even when you’re not sure what the right thing is…and to forgive yourself, over and over again, for doing everything wrong.” – Donna Ball
“Motherhood is the greatest thing and the hardest thing.” – Ricki Lake
“I think every working mom probably feels the same thing: You go through chunks of time where you’re just thinking, ‘This is impossible – oh, this is impossible.’ And then you just keep going and going, and you sort of do the impossible.” – Tina Fey
“When your children arrive, the best you can hope for is that they break open everything about you. Your mind floods with oxygen. Your heart becomes a room with wide open windows.” – Amy Poehler
“It’s beautiful to watch one of God’s creations just doing what it was made to do. Y’all spend too much time beating yourselves up. I doubt the good Lord made a mistake giving your kiddos the mom he did.” – Mom’s Night Out movie
“I exist in two places, here and where you are.” – Margaret Atwood (not specifically referencing mothers, but I think this is so very true)
